Pickleball

The Glencoe Park District offers indoor and outdoor pickleball courts throughout town. We also offer pickleball workshops and match play programs each season. Click on the program guide to see this season's schedule.

Outdoor courts are available daily, 7 AM-8 PM. Users must abide by Park District Conduct Ordinance 700.

Private Lesson Permit

Residents must call (847) 835-3030 to obtain a permit for private lessons on the courts. 

Weinberg Family Recreation Center 305 Randolph Road, Glencoe

Outside of the ice season, the main rink at Weinberg Family Recreation Center serves as a pickleball hub, featuring six courts with a distinctive sports court surface designed for pickleball. The courts are open daily, April 22-October 31, from 7 AM to 8 PM. 

Court usage is limited to one hour if other players are waiting. Priority is given in the following order:

  • Park District Programs
  • School District Programs
  • Advanced Reservation Play/Lessons
  • Open/Drop-in Play

The Pickleball Courts are for pickleball use only. All other games/activities are prohibited. Alcohol, smoking, glass containers, biking, skating, and all other sport activities are prohibited. Pets are not allowed on the courts. Please respect our neighbors. Users must abide by Glencoe Park District Conduct Ordinance 700

Private Lesson Permit

Residents must call (847) 835-3030 to obtain a permit for private lessons on the courts. 

We have three indoor pickleball courts available for use in the Takiff Center Gym during the winter months. Open Pickleball is available for adults, aged 30+. Maximum of 16 players.

  • Fee: $8 Resident / $10 Non-Resident 

Please note, cash is not accepted at the Takiff Center. Fees may be paid with credit cards. Check our event calendar below for specific availability.

Court Permits

Residents and instructors are required to purchase a permit if they wish to teach private/semi-private lessons on Park District courts. This is limited to 3 or fewer students. The permit requires an annual fee for the season. Instructors must provide an approved Certificate of Insurance. Court reservations are required to guarantee court time. Permits are required April 1-October 31. To purchase a court permit, contact Andrew Valett.

Please note, in order to prolong the life of the nets, outdoor nets in the parks will be taken down on the first Monday of December and re-installed on the first Monday of March.
