Labor Day Marks End of Season

Labor Day marks the end of the Glencoe Beach season, as well as the seasonal use of the hand-crank trains and interactive fountain at Duke Park.

The Beach will be open only to season pass holders (and their guests) this weekend, September 3-5, from 10 AM to 7 PM. After September 5, the beach season will be over for the year. Glencoe Beach will not have lifeguards on duty, and season passes or daily fees will not be required to visit Glencoe Beach. Beach amenities and rentals will not be available. After September 15, dogs may visit the beach. Glencoe Beach lifeguards, amenities, and rentals will return next year on May 27, 2023 (Memorial Day weekend).

The hand-crank trains and interactive fountain at Duke Park will close for the season at 6 PM on Monday, September 5. The hand-crank trains and interactive fountain will return on May 27, 2023 (Memorial Day weekend).

The Takiff Center, including Glencoe Fitness, will be closed on September 5 in observance of the Labor Day holiday.
