TAKIFF EXPRESS TRAIN DAY Favorite!

Everyone’s favorite useful engine will be visiting Glencoe! Ride the express trackless train, and enjoy railroad-themed activities. In case of inclement weather, event will be rescheduled.

Passholder Party FREe for Glencoe beach passholders

11 AM-3 PM | Select dates, starting May 28 | Glencoe Beach 
This year, Glencoe Beach brings live music and food vendors right off the water!  Events are limited to Glencoe Beach season passholders only. On select dates, delicious food and beverages are available for purchase from our guest vendors.   

  • May 28: Live music by Nigel Mack (1-3 PM) and food from La Humita on Wheels
  • June 4: Live music with Keithen Banks (1-3 PM) and food from Ravinia Brewing
  • June 11: Food from Dia De Los Tacos
  • June 19: Live music with Eric Howell (1-3 PM) and food from Sausage Fest

KICKBACK AT KALK Free!

5-7 PM | Select Thursdays, starting June 9 | Kalk Park 
Bring a picnic blanket for an evening of live music and fun! The night will kick off with activities at 5 PM, followed by a concert at 6 PM. Each concert will feature a new band and activities! 

  • June 9: Season Kickoff with music by The DB’s, food available for purchase from the Fat Shallot Food Truck, and craft beer available for purchase from Ravinia Brewing

Movies on the Green  Free!

Movies on the Green return for another exciting lineup of movies to enjoy outdoors with friends and neighbors! Don’t forget to bring your lawn chairs and blankets. All movies are free to attend and begin at dusk. This series is sponsored by the Village of Glencoe, the Glencoe Park District and the Glencoe Public Library.

Glencoe's Independence Day Celebration Free!

Sunday, July 3
  • Party in the Park (6-10 PM, Sunday, July 3, Lakefront Park): We’re kicking off the holiday celebration with a Party in the Park! Join us for games and inflatable fun on the tennis courts from 5 to 8 PM. Hungry? Thirsty? Our food trucks and beer/wine sales will be open from 5 to 9 PM. Food will be available for purchase from La  Humita, Sausage Fest, Culinary Gangster, and Little Louies. Plus, enjoy live music and dancing with the Feel Good Party Band starting at 6 PM! FeelGood is a fun, energetic, Chicago-based tribute band. The name of the band is exactly what every show does- makes you feel good. FeelGood plays all of your favorite party jams from the ’60s to today. With decades of experience, FeelGood has the perfect playlist to keep you going all night. The fun ends with Glencoe’s dazzling firework spectacular with viewing from Lakefront Park. More
  • Fireworks (9-10 PM, Sunday, July 3, Lakefront Park): A dazzling fireworks display will cap off Party in the Park. Please note, Glencoe Beach will be closed on July 3 to safely prepare for the fireworks show. It will be open on July 4 for season pass holders ONLY. More
Monday, July 4
  • Rotary Fun Run (8 AM, Monday, July 4, Glencoe Train Station): Start the holiday with a run through Glencoe! The race is free, but advanced registration is encouraged. The 
    Fun Run is co-sponsored by the Glencoe Rotary Club and donations to the club are appreciated. This race is for ages 7 and up. More
  • Family Games (9-11:30 AM, Monday, July 4, Kalk Park): Play wacky games and enjoy patriotic fun at Kalk Park. This event is for all ages. More
  • Village Parade (1 PM, Monday, July 4, Downtown Glencoe): Glencoe’s annual Independence Day Parade steps off at 1 PM. For full parade details visit the Village’s 
    website. Resident, business and community organization participation is encouraged! Contact the Village Manager’s Office for details. More
  • Beach Party (11 AM-9 PM, Monday, July 4, Glencoe Beach): Enjoy music, food and fun in the sun! Jukebox Heroes will be performing acoustic covers of rock, country, and pop songs from the 50's to today from 1 to 3 PM. Food will be available for purchase from Culinary Gangsters from 11 AM to 3 PM. Please note, Glencoe Beach will be closed on July 3 to safely prepare for the fireworks show. Glencoe Beach will be open on July 4, but admission is limited to season pass holders. More

BEACH CAMP OUT Favorite!

6 PM-9 AM | Friday, July 22-Saturday, July 23 | Glencoe Beach | Activity #120807
Spend an evening camping out with your family at Glencoe Beach! We’ll enjoy an early cookout, roast marshmallows, and after the sun sets, watch a movie on the big screen. A light breakfast will be served at sunrise. All children must be accompanied by a guardian; children under the age of two are free. Participants must register by July 19 and every family member participating must register (even if they are not spending the night). In case of inclement weather, the make-up date will be August 12-13. Refunds will not be issued after July 14.

CARDBOARD REGATTA 

12:30-2 PM | Friday, August 5 | Glencoe Beach | Activity #120824 | $10/15 R/NR | Ages 6-18
Turn cardboard into a seaworthy vessel! Build a cardboard boat at home and bring it to the beach to race against other boats. Awards will be presented for speed, and team spirit. Teams of two or more must have at least two people sail in the boat; visit glencoeparkdistrict.com for a complete list of rules and building requirements. Only one registration needed per team.
