Door County Fish Boil 120701

Treat yourself to a traditional Door County Fish Boil at Glencoe Beach. This one-of-a-kind experience includes the “boil over” show, dinner with dessert, and a great view of Lake Michigan. A Wisconsin fish boil is a beloved Door County tradition where fresh whitefish, potatoes, and onions are cooked together in a large outdoor kettle over an open fire. At the end, kerosene is tossed onto the flames to create a dramatic boil-over that sends the water—and impurities—spilling over the sides of the pot. What’s left is tender, flaky fish and a simple, hearty meal that’s as much about the spectacle and community gathering as it is about the food.
