Watts Renovation To Start This Spring

Renovation at Watts Center will begin this spring. The renovation will activate inaccessible program space and update aging mechanical systems while addressing accessibility and space constraints. When completed, this equates to 2,318 additional square feet of accessible multi-use indoor space.
To complete the project, the Glencoe Park District will use a combination of fund balances, $2 million non-referendum bonds, and a $2.5 million Illinois Department of Natural Resource PARC grant.
Construction will begin in early spring and will be substantially completed by December 2023 (weather depending). The project will follow the regular Village of Glencoe Construction Hours:
- 7 AM-6 PM, Monday-Friday
- 9 AM-6 PM, Saturdays
- Work is not permitted on Sundays or holidays
