GLENCOE BEACH

Glencoe Beach is ideal for group and family outings, work picnics, or summer camp groups! Lifeguards are on duty daily during operational hours between Memorial Day and Labor Day. During the summer months, admission is required to visit the beach. During the off-season, visitors can enjoy Glencoe Beach from sunrise to sunset free of charge.

  • The playground is open, but the Beach House is closed.

Season Passes

Season passes will go on sale Thursday, March 9 at 7 AM for Glencoe residents and at 9 AM on Monday, March 13 for all others. To learn more, click on the links below.

Visit the Paul and Ada Safran Beach House to access bathrooms, medical assistance, vending machines, and rental information. The beach house is closed during the fall, winter, and spring months.

The Paul and Ada Safran Sprayground features interactive water play pieces, slides, swings, and playground fun. The water features are only available during regular beach operating hours.

Lifeguards are on duty when the beach is open. Reminder: If the water is not protected by lifeguards, enter at your own risk. The minimum age to enter the beach area alone is 12 years of age. To enter the water, while unguarded, patrons must be at least 16 years of age, per the Illinois Department of Public Health. Persons under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or other responsible person at least 16 years of age while entering the water. Swimming alone is not recommended.

Volleyball courts and complimentary volleyball rentals are available.

A complimentary beach cart is available during normal operating hours for patrons needing assistance to access the beach.

Parking at the beach is free. No permits or passes are required to park in the beach lot.
