Thank you to our retiring commissioners, Dudley Onderdonk (2015-2021) and Josh Lutton (2017-2021).

As an avid cyclist and environmentalist, Dudley championed trail development, sustainability, fiscal responsibility, and restoration of the Breakwater Sculpture during his tenure.

Josh, an avid runner, sailor, and environmentalist, used his term to champion the preservation of natural spaces, adding safe routes for walkers/bikers/runners, and integrating sustainable elements to all special projects.

Josh and Dudley dedicated a tremendous amount of time, energy, and expertise to the betterment of the Glencoe Park District. Both Josh and Dudley contributed to the redevelopment of Astor Park, Vernon Playground, Old Elm Playground, Woodlawn Park, Early Childhood Playground, Duke Park, as well as the addition of Glencoe Fitness, renovations to the Takiff Center, and building Connect Glencoe. During their tenure, the Glencoe Park District earned the Illinois Distinguished Accredited Agency award in 2019 and the National Gold Medal Award for Excellence in Park and Recreation Management in 2019
