Face Coverings Required

Monday, January 3, 2022

Following the mandate from the Cook County Department of Public Health, face coverings are required inside all Glencoe Park District facilities. Those over age 18 must show a proof of vaccine under Cook County's Vaccine Mandate; this  includes all Glencoe Fitness members, group fitness participants, open gym/open pickleball visitors, and adult program participants. Glencoe Fitness members under age 18 must also show proof of vaccination. Information can be stored on your account, so you will only need to show your card, along with a valid photo ID on your first visit after January 3. You may show the physical CDC card, a digital or physical photo of the card, a printed record from your vaccine provider, or a digital record on an app. A one-week grace period is available if you have not yet completed your vaccine.

The following are exempt from the vaccine mandate order:

  • An individual 18 years of age or younger who enters a business subject to this Order to participate in an activity sponsored by a school, park district, child care or after-school program, or other organizations as defined in guidance by the Cook County Department of Public Health
  • Youth or adults participating in special recreation programs
  • Spectators of indoor sporting events provided that no food or drink is being served and that they remain masked at all time
