Enrichments are open to the public. Students from ELC, GJK, and Children’s Circle, as well as children from other preschools, are welcome to enroll!
As long as the enrichment class location is listed as Takiff Center, your child will be walked to and from class by one of our Early Childhood staff members.
These classes are a great way to find and explore specialized interests that your child may have!
Class ages are listed and follow the September 1 cut off. For example, if a class is listed as 3s, it is for any child who turned 3 by September 1 of that school year.
Enrichment classes that begin at 11:30 AM for 3-year-olds and 12 PM for 4-year-olds do require a packed lunch.
We have both internal instructors as well as external contractors. All go through a training process and we make sure they are a good fits for our little learners.
Our seasonal brochure is printed three times per year and mailed to all Glencoe residents. Program information is also available on our website (glencoeparkdistrict.com) and in our email newsletter. Printed copies of our brochure are also available at all Glencoe Park District facilities.
We keep an open line of communication for these transitions. You are welcome to reach out to your child’s teacher or Early Childhood staff members to get feedback on your child’s readiness to participate. The staff member who walks your child to and from class as well as the enrichment instructor will keep you updated as to how they are doing in the class.
