Construction Started at Glencoe Beach

Construction is officially underway at Glencoe Beach! Work started Tuesday, September 8, and the beach is now closed while construction continues.
The project will bring several improvements to the lakefront, including:
- Beach house interior renovations
- A new playground with spray features
- A new trellis and sun shelters
- New boat storage and boardwalk improvements
- Infrastructure upgrades
What to Know During Construction
The lower ramp, beach, beach house, and playground are now closed to all visitors while construction is in progress.
During construction:
- The lower ramp, beach, beach house, and playground will be closed to all visitors
- Please follow posted signage and respect protective fencing
- Use caution due to increased construction vehicle traffic
- Pedestrian access to the upper road for walkers and runners is permitted outside construction hours.
Glencoe Beach is expected to reopen in May 2027.
