Big things are on the horizon for Glencoe Beach, and we need your input! Thanks to the public's approval of our November 2024 referendum, a series of exciting improvements to the beach are in motion. To ensure these enhancements reflect the community's vision, we're hosting a series of Community Visioning Meetings, and you're invited to participate.
These meetings are an opportunity to share your ideas, insights, and priorities for transforming Glencoe Beach into an even more special place for everyone to enjoy, within budgetary parameters.
Beach Playground & Spray Features Community Visioning Meeting
- Focus: Beach playground and potential spray features ONLY.
- Date: Wednesday, June 18
- Times: 2:30-4:30 PM or 6:30-8:00 PM
- Location: Takiff Center
Beach House Renovations & More Community Visioning Meeting
- Focus: Renovations to the Beach house, Trellis and sun shelters, boardwalk, kayak/paddleboard racks, and storage lockers.
- Date: Wednesday, July 2
- Time: 7:00 PM
- Location: Takiff Center
What's Next?
All ideas from the community visioning meetings will help develop design concepts, which will be shared with the public for feedback in early fall. Construction is anticipated to begin in 2026, bringing these exciting plans to life!
