Labor Day Weekend: Final Weekend!
Join us for the final weekend of beach season! Lifeguards will be on duty Labor Day weekend, including Monday, September 7, weather permitting. As a reminder, weekend and holiday visits are limited to season passholders and their guests.
Lakefront Improvement Project Begins September 8
After Labor Day, the Glencoe Park District will begin a major renovation of Glencoe Beach. Improvements include:
- Beach house interior renovation
- New playground with spray features
- New trellis, sun shelters, lockers, and boardwalk
- Infrastructure improvements
The beach is expected to reopen in May, 2027.
What to Know During Construction
Starting Tuesday, September 8:
- The lower ramp, beach, beach house, and playground will be closed to all visitors
- Please follow posted signage and respect protective fencing
- Use caution due to increased construction vehicle traffic
- Pedestrian access to the upper road for walkers and runners is permitted outside construction hours.
