Description
Lakefront Park is located between Longwood Park and Hazel Avenue, overlooking Lake Michigan. The scenic park offers benches with lake views, as well as a playground, walking path, and three tennis courts. Free parking is available on Longwood, Hazel, and Park avenues.
The park offers access to Glencoe Beach and the Perlman Boating Beach. During the summer months, visitors must pay admission to access Glencoe Beach. Admission is limited to season pass holders on weekends and holidays. A daily admission fee may be paid on weekdays. During the fall, winter, and spring seasons, visitors may use the ramp to visit Glencoe Beach free of charge.
Tennis and pickleball instructors are required to purchase a permit if they wish to teach private/semi-private lessons on Park District tennis courts. This is limited to 3 or fewer students. The permit is $200 for the season. Instructors must provide an approved Certificate of Insurance. Court reservations are required to guarantee court time.
