Children's Circle inquiry form

waitlist is Full for 2026-27 School Year

This is an inquiry form. If a spot on the waitlist becomes available, you will receive an email from Molly Tigera, Early Childhood Director. 

Placement is determined by a child’s birthdate in relation to available classroom openings and DCFS age requirements.

Because our program follows a sequential classroom progression mandated by our DCFS license, certain classrooms—such as the infant room—have strict upper age limits. When a child reaches that limit, they must transition to the next classroom. This creates openings that are filled by children whose birthdates align precisely with the age range of the available space, ensuring that they will be the correct age to move up when the time comes.

If multiple children’s birthdays align with the same opening, placement priority is given in the following order:

  1. Currently enrolled families (including siblings),
  2. Glencoe Park District residents, and then
  3. Nonresidents.

Within each of these groups, the waitlist date determines the order of placement.

This model allows the District to:

  • Maintain compliance with DCFS regulations,
  • Support smooth and predictable classroom transitions,
  • Serve the most members of our community 
  • Better meet community demand for high-quality childcare.

Families are contacted when their child’s date of birth and priority status align with an upcoming opening.
