Playhouse Summer

Grades 3-8 | Theatre Camp with Sarah Hall & Melissa Briskman •

During this exciting 2 week camp, kids will not only explore improvisation through fun theatre games, they will also rehearse and perform an original musical they help co-create. In addition to creating a unique performance opportunity on stage, our program aims to promote meaningful dialogue and discussion about the conflicts and “drama” faced by our students in their everyday lives. Fencing is an elegant and life-long sport. It is great exercise for the mind and body, plus it is challenging and fun. Through fencing program, you will improve your coordination, cardiovascular fitness, reflexes, muscle tone, poise and confidence. Led by Maître d’Armes Marek P. Stepien, a competitor in the Barcelona Olympics and three world championships and NCAA-coach. Register



Ages 8-13

During this exciting four week-long, three-day-a-week camp, kids learn and improve their tennis skills. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced player, this camp is for you. Participants receive instruction on forehand, backhand, court position, footwork, singles and doubles play. Register



Ages 8-14 | Presented by EVP Volleyball Professionals•

Bring your skills to the next level! EVP Volleyball Professionals will lead the latest drills and training techniques with a focus on individual training. The camp will concentrate on the fundamentals of passing, setting, serving and spiking. You will learn to overhand serve and play organized games. Our active instructors will also lead a variety of fun contests and games each day. Register


New! beach & Indoor VOLLEYBALL

Ages 8-14 | Presented by EVP Volleyball Professionals•

Conquer the beach court and the indoor court at our new combo camp! EVP Volleyball Professionals will lead the latest drills and training techniques with a focus on individual training. The camp will spend two days working on outdoor skills at Glencoe Beach and then move inside to practice skills in the gym at the Takiff Center. All four days will focus on the fundamentals of passing, setting, serving and spiking. Please note: We will meet at Glencoe Beach August 14-15 and at the Takiff Center August 16-17. Register


extra innings 

Ages 3-12 | Presented by Illinois Baseball Academy

Wrap up your summer with baseball fun!  Players will improve their skills by revisiting fundamentals with new and challenging drills. We will also be playing plenty of daily baseball games. You can sign up for one or two weeks and stay active, spend time with friends and enjoy the wonderful game of baseball. We will focus on stretching and agility, character development, baseball instruction and cross-sport application.  Players will be divided by age and ability level.  Register


Chess scholars camp 

Grades K-4 | Presented by Chess Scholars

This camp is designed for both beginners and experienced young players. All participants will learn cool new strategies at the appropriate level from a renowned Chess Scholars coach. Each class will consist of a fun, interactive teaching period and guided practice time. Children will have an opportunity to test for a Chess Belt® under a unique Chess Scholars system patterned after martial arts belts. There will also be a chess competition with prizes! Each camper will take home a chess set and an award. Register


Golf Camp

At Glencoe Golf Club

Summer junior golf programs begin the week of June 13 and offer a variety of skill levels to fit your child's playing ability. The half-day junior programs are taught by experienced Golf Professionals and include lessons on the golf course with an emphasis on fun! All participants receive a "get ready to golf" starter kit and a junior pass valid for 5 FREE rounds of golf or 10 range tokens. Register


Circuits & Scratch 

Grades 1-2 | With Computer Explorers

Have you ever wondered how electronics work? Working with a partner, you will gain hands-on building experience as you learn about electrical components and all types of circuits (without using computers!). Then, dive into the world of video game animation. Working in teams, you’ll add sound effects and music clips to create a dynamic video animation game using Scratch, an object oriented coding platform designed just for kids! Creativity rules in this fun version of video game design! Register

Grades 4-6 | With Computer Explorers

Learn a new language in just a week! Working with a partner, you’ll explore object-based programming and text-based coding in Minecraft and Python. Python is a powerful, expressive programming language that’s easy to learn and fun to use! We’ll guide you through the basics as you experiment with unique (and often hilarious) programs including secret agents, thieving ravens, and more. You’ll learn basic data structures, how to organize and reuse your code, as well as functions and modules. You’ll stretch your brain and strengthen your understanding by working on programming puzzles! Register
